Roy Conklin, an inventor from Toledo, Ohio, founded The Conklin Pen Company® in 1898. It is now regarded as one of the most prominent and progressive American writing instrument manufacturers from the heyday of fountain pens. The Duragraph model was developed by Conklin in 1923, and it quickly gained a reputation as the best pen of its time. The model was given the name Duragraph, a combination of the words durable and graph. The Duragraph is offered a lifetime warranty and was built to last as an heirloom to last for many generations in recognition of the Duragraph's 91st birthday. The cap of the Conklin Duragraph Fountain Pens is composed of lacquer-coated stainless steel, while the body of the pen is solid brass bars covered in a high-gloss metallic lacquer. They have a very modern appearance and a minimalistic design.

 

Design & Features

Conklin Duragraph Fountain Pens with DuragraphTM update the traditional huge flat top style with a clean, modern aesthetic and provide a lifetime warranty. The DuragraphTM is a substantial, expertly produced piece of resin that doesn't feel overly large in the hand. On either side of the model name, the Conklin® Est and the cap band are etched with the traditional DuragraphTM model script type and three Conklin® crescent symbols. The cap top features an embroidered 1898 logo. Because it fits low in the pocket and has a top-mounted clip, this type is more practical for daily use.

The Conklin Duragraph Fountain pen gives this classic large flat-top design a new, contemporary look. The Conklin Duragraph is significant in size but not so big as to be awkward in the hand because it is fashioned from high-quality hand-crafted resin.
